How It Works

The LastDietATX Method

The LastDietATX weight loss method used by our clinics is a well-established, medically proven program designed over 25 years ago to help people burn fat while protecting their muscle mass. It is a very low-carb diet in conjunction with an idealized amount of protein that results in preserving muscle and burning fat.

The Difference: When normal, calorie-restrictive diets are used, the dieter loses fat AND muscle. Muscle burns more energy than fat, therefore muscle loss causes a decrease in energy usage by the body. Your body has three sources of energy: Carbohydrates (always burned first), followed by protein, and then lipids (fats). Once the body has depleted its carbohydrate reserves, it draws on protein and fat reserves simultaneously. The intake of bio-available protein used in the LastDietATX Weight Loss Method maintains lean muscle mass and forces fat-burning for energy. It is more than weight loss: It’s fat loss. This results in:

  • Skin revitalization
  • Cellulite reduction
  • Improved Blood Sugar Levels
  • Reduced Blood Pressure
  • Improved cholesterol/triglyceride ratios
  • Reduced inflammatory conditions

Understanding The Cause of Weight Gain: The cause of many weight issues is insulin dysfunction. An overproduction of insulin may lead to hypoglycemia or low glycemia, which in turn may induce constant sugar cravings and weight gain. One of Insulin’s primary functions is to regulate blood sugar levels, however, it is also the hormone that facilitates the transport of fat (triglycerides) into the fat cells. Even worse, it “locks” the fat into the fat cell, preventing it from being used as a source of energy. Now, because the blood sugar has dropped (and we can’t access the fat as a fuel source) it creates “sugar cravings’ and the vicious cycle begins again.
